Welcome the tinfoil hat brigades to the great climate change debate!

Behold the rise of the perfect coalition: the climate change brigades and the Roswell True Believers!

A former Canadian defense minister is demanding governments worldwide disclose and use secret alien technologies obtained in alleged UFO crashes to stem climate change, a local paper said Wednesday.

“I would like to see what (alien) technology there might be that could eliminate the burning of fossil fuels within a generation … that could be a way to save our planet,” Paul Hellyer, 83, told the Ottawa Citizen.

Shorter version: “Imaginary Threat Requires Paranoid Response.”

first the information hellyer stated came from a general … second during his term as defense minister , hellyer would have seen the shag harbour documentation … have you ever studied the incident …?

“It is time for the truth to be brought out… Behind the scenes high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about the UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense…. I urge immediate Congressional action to reduce the dangers from secrecy about unidentified flying objects.”

Former CIA Director Vice Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter, signed statement to Congress, August 22, 1960.

Marc’s use of ridicule indicates his mindset, so I doubt any reply to his post will result in his reexamination of the “conventional wisdom” on the subject of alien contact. Here’s my reply anyway: is Marc prepared to heap equal ridicule on former presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford, because they have both made public statements that they, too, have seen UFOs? Has Marc been to http://www.disclosureproject.org? How about http://www.paradigmresearchgroup.org? You don’t need a tinfoil hat, just an open mind.
