But nowhere was this trend more pronounced than in Europe, where over half of countries (53%) saw an increase from the previous year.

Alabama Senate gives megachurch the right to form its own police force

If the Briarwood Presbyterian Church gets its way in the Alabama legislature, it will soon have its own police force to protect it from possible crime. They argue that after Sandy Hook there is a need for more protection of citizens than the regular police force can offer, though they do not provide any particular threats. Whether or not this begins more churches and religious establishments offering their own police forces remains to be seen.
