This morning, Rev. Robert A. Sirico appeared on the nationally syndicated Mike McConnell Show to discuss his recent Detroit News commentary, Minimum wage laws create victims among the vulnerable. You can listen to the interview by clicking here (1.6 mb mp3 file).

Dr. Jay Richards made an appearance on the Steve Deace show yesterday on central Iowa’s 50,000 watt blowtorch of a radio station, WHO in Des Moines. The topic of conversation was climate change, and you can listen to the interview by clicking right here (3.2 mb mp3 file).

Dr. Jay Richards made an appearance this morning on AM Tampa Bay, the morning news show on Newsradio 970 WFLA, to discuss how the pro-Kyoto side of the global warming debate has become something akin to a religious movement. If you want to hear more of Jay, and you’re in or around Medford, Oregon, you can tune in today to AM 1440 KMED today at 10:00 Eastern/8:00 Mountain as Jay chats with host Bill Meyer on the same topic.

UPDATE: Jay’s interview wrapped up a little bit ago. If you missed it, it looks like there’s a chance that it may be archived on this page today or tomorrow.

Anthony Bradley is also making the media rounds this week to discuss the minimum wage raise that just took effect. He’ll be on a number of shows in the coming days, the biggest being the Mancow show out of Chicago on Thursday morning at 8:10 Eastern. Check out Mancow.com for more info on where to catch the broadcast in your area.

Father Sirico Closes Acton University 2007

Acton University 2007 came to a close this evening with another stirring address by Rev. Robert Sirico which capped a great week in Grand Rapids for all involved. It’s getting late and I can’t hope to top what Father Robert had to say this evening, so I’ll refer all of you to the audio link below.

It’s always a relief when we come to the end of what is without a doubt the busiest week of the year for Acton’s Grand Rapids staff, but there’s a hint of sadness as well as we have to say good bye to so many people who have come to our hometown to engage in this remarkable conference. Over the next 24 hours or so, many of our new (and old) friends will be heading back to their various corners of the world via automobile and airplane, and we send along our prayers for traveling mercies for each and every one of them. I think I can speak for everyone at Acton in wishing all of our alumni the best in their various endeavors, and in hoping that we’ll see them again in the future.
