Acton Institute President and Co-founder Rev. Robert A. Sirico was interviewed on Good Friday by Neil Cavuto on the Fox Business Channel.

Cavuto said he has Rev. Sirico on his program during national crises, because his priestly perspective helps people find peace. Rev. Sirico also “avoids nastiness, which would make him a horrible cable TV host,” Cavuto joked.

Rev. Sirico – who is pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic parish and Academy in Grand Rapids, Michigan – lived up to his billing.

“This virus is not going to destroy human civilization,” he said. “In that day when we emerge from this, we’re going to appreciate these [family and economic] relationships so much more.”

Rev. Sirico discussed ways to defuse tension within the home and in virtual relationships, as well as the positive practices that the COVID-19 global pandemic will ingrain in our culture after the threat subsides.
